Dear QEAN members,

I expect that you are all experiencing the overflowing INBOX syndrome- too
many messages!   The Publications/Communications section has a suggestion
which may make it easier to manage the flow of information for QEAN.

This is a little complex, but once you get the hang of it, it will save
everyone time.  Save this message in your QEAN folder!

In Subject lines:  If you want everyone to read the message, write "QEAN"
followed by what is in the message.  (e.g. "QEAN: PLEASE READ- info about
subject lines")

If the message contains information about your particular section,  write
"QEAN: Climate Change" followed by what is in the message.  Of course,
anyone could read the message- please do!  but those people in the Climate
Change section *MUST* read the message  :>)

E.g.  "QEAN: Climate Change:INFO-article in Natural History Oct.01"

Again, anyone can read the message, but before you open it, you will know
that it is about climate change and an article to read.  Or you can delete
it.

If you want ACTION (the "A" in  QEAN), you can write

E.g.  "QEAN: Climate Change: ACTION-demonstration in Ottawa Nov.11"

or   E.g.  "QEAN: Climate Change: ACTION-letter to your MP re CO2 emissions"

Let me know if you can think of a better way to organize our communications
so that busy Quakers can be effective in their chosen area of interest and
not experience burnout.   This is not a short term concern so we need to
think like marathon runners, not sprinters.

Blessings on your work,
Lynne Phillips
