Leaflets for Inquirers
Home Mission and Advancement Committee thanks Halifax Monthly Meeting and its Outreach Committee for providing a range of leaflets (see below) that can be downloaded and altered for use throughout Canadian Yearly Meeting.
Anne Thomas writes: "They are all on quarto or foolscap-sized paper. They are deliberately different sizes and shapes for interest. This is partly due to making them the right size for the quantity of content." Consider varying the colour of the paper.
If you choose to use any of these pamphlets and make alterations, please send a copy to HMAC or the new Publications and Communications when it is established. The pamphlet sub-committee is working on new pamphlets and appreciates suggestions.
The Outreach Leaflets are
saved as Word Perfect files and some are also saved as PDF files.
The Word Perfect files are editable so that you can change the name of the Meeting from Halifax to your own, and alter any relevant contact information, etc.
PDF files are not editable, but maintain the document layout if you want to see how they were designed and are openable on any computer system (PC, Mac, Linux, etc.). YOu can copy and paste from the PDF file into your favourite word processor or publishing program. Click here to download the free Adobe PDF reader if you do not already have it installed on your computer.
Since most people use Word or a desktop publishing program rather than Word Perfect, you will likely need to reformat the layout somewhat to fit the pages in these programs. The document may look very different, especially if the columns and page breaks are not interpreted correctly by the other program. Even Word Perfect users may have to tweak the layout as it can change depending on which printer is installed on your computer.
